Congratulations!  You bought your first firearm!   So now what?

Gun Cat Basic 101 is our flagship training course for the aspiring tactical shooter.  This 3.5 hour, classroom only, block of instruction is appropriate for all skill levels, and builds a solid foundation in the fundamentals of safe and proper firearms handling and firearms safety.  This course is designed for both experienced and inexperienced shooters alike, and includes one on one instruction in proper grip, stance, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger press, loading, unloading, range safety and the fundamentals of firearms safety.  

In addition, this class will devote a block of instruction to one of the most overlooked aspects of training - the development of the proper mindset and an understanding of the mental and physiological factors you will experience in a crisis moment.  

The cost to attend this course is $125.00, and you will leave completely empowered and comfortable with the fundamentals of safe gun handling needed for live fire training.   Gun Cat believes very strongly in a building block approach to training, and all of our classes are designed to build upon the safety and techniques taught in this basic course.  A safe and solid foundation in firearms safety and proper firearms handling are critical, prior to ever stepping on the firing line. 

Students are encouraged to bring their own firearms, holsters and magazines for one on one instruction with their personal equipment.   Safety is our number one priority and you will be under the watchful eye of our experienced instructors.  

This training can be hosted in your home, business or at our facility.  Contact us for details.  Minimum of 6 students are required to run a class, maximum of 12.  Private groups are welcome, and we will help you custom-tailor the perfect training day with your closest friends or co-workers!

For those looking to meet the statutory requirements for obtaining their concealed weapon permit this is the perfect course!  

This class will introduce you to the fundamentals of firearms safety, as well as giving you the opportunity to put those fundamentals into practice with a 50 round live fire familiarization course.  

This is the perfect class to put into practice everything  learned in the classroom and will satisfy the statutory requirement for obtaining your concealed weapon permit.

This course can be custom tailored to fit your schedule, and one on one instruction is available.  Private groups are also welcome, but no more than 6 shooters are allowed per class.  The cost to attend this class and obtain your concealed weapon permit is $165.00 + range fees, which are paid directly to the range.

This 3 hour classroom only course of instruction is designed to build on the basic gun handling and firearms safety learned in Gun Cat 101.  

Conducted in a low stress training environment, all while under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor, you will begin to understand, and apply, the basic fundamentals required to be successful in a dynamic shooting environment.  

This class is built on real world experience and best practices and topics covered include: safety, drawing from a holster, drawing from concealment, gun handling techniques, principles of cover and concealment, magazine changes, movement, communication, situational awareness and more.

Students are encouraged to bring their own firearms, holsters, magazines and magazine pouches for one on one instruction with their personal equipment.   Safety is our number one priority and you will be under the watchful eye of our experienced instructors.

The Pre-requisite to take this glass is Gun Cat basic 101, and this class is designed, specifically, to build on the fundamentals learned in Gun Cat 101. 

The cost for Gun Cat 102 is $125.00

First TAP is your Introduction to Tactical Applications (TAP) for pistol!

This 3 hour block of instruction is designed for the shooter looking to refine their marksmanship and shooting skills. 

This introductory level course will introduce you to basic tactical concepts that will act as your  foundation for dynamic shooting environments. 

This course serves as the baseline level course for Gun Cat's Tactical Applications (TAP) series.  Pre-requisite for this course is successful completion of Gun Cat 102 Introduction to Tactical Pistol. 

Required equipment for this course is your preferred OWB holster (NO IWB, SERPA or concealment holsters, please), a minimum of 3 magazines, magazine pouches, eye and ear protection and 200 rounds of ammunition.  If you do not have equipment for this course, but are still interested in the program, please contact Gun Cat directly for additional information.  

This course will be conducted entirely on the range with on the spot instruction and lessons learned to maximize retention of concepts and information.  Course cost is $225.00 per student to attend. 

Maximum of 6 shooters allowed and private group and individual instruction is available.

Building on the foundation developed in Gun Cat’s First TAP, Double TAP is a 3 hour course designed to take your shooting technique to the next level. 

This course is conducted entirely on the range, and starts out with a refresher from First TAP, quickly building from there, to provide you with the confidence you need in your skills to handle your weapon safely in dynamic environments. 

This is a 200 round course of fire, and the cost to attend this course is $225.00.  

Required equipment for this course is a holster (NO IWB, SERPA or concealment holsters allowed) a minimum of 3 magazines (for magazine changes), magazine pouches, eye and ear protection and 200 rounds of ammunition.  If you do not have equipment for this course, but are still interested in the program, please contact Gun Cat directly for additional information and assistance.

Pre-requisite for this class is successful completion of Gun Cat’s First TAP.
